Hike for Healing 2023

For Hike for Healing 2023, we will be hiking Segment 1 of the Mountains to Sea Trail (MTS), from Kuwahi (Clingmans Dome) in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (GSMNP) to Waterrock Knob, located at milepost 451 along the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Mountains to Sea Trail in its entirety traverse 1175 miles across the state of North Carolina connecting the GSMNP to the Outer Banks at the Atlantic Ocean. Segment 1 of the MTS is nearly 47 miles long and we will attempt to complete this very rugged section of the MTS in less than 24 hours. 

We chose to use the Mountains to Sea Trail for Hike for Healing this year as the trail itself is quite diverse and the MTS is very heavily committed to promoting access, diversity, inclusion, and equity. 

Participants DO NOT have to complete all 47 miles to particpate in the physical hike - there are plenty of accessable sections for hikers of ALL skill levels. 

For all particpants, we request that you register so we are aware of your participation and that you purchase at least 1 shirt from our webstore to wear during your hike to support the cause.
